Dear Grandma Smith

I met you about a little over 3 years ago and you met me with a smile.
You called me Corina and told me to stay awhile. :) You welcomed me in
like one of your own and from that moment forward your house felt like HOME.
You taught me to cook with patience for the best taste. You showed me that life is
more than a race. You inspired my christianity and my church at home, you taught me
to have peace with myself when I am alone. You showed off the news as something to learn
you taught me your sweet voice could also be stern. Each mess that we made was never too big,
I heard you drove a motorhome the size of a rig. You helped raise your grandson my husband today. For that I am thankful and cannot repay. The love that he gives reflects your teachings, your love and your grace. He loves me whole hearted I can tell by his face. He learned this true love from you this I know. He learned to love real from my head to toe. The lives that you touched each one I can't tell, but the family you have has thoughts that will swell. Each day when you leave won't be the same, without you around, we'll still say your name. But we can never see you in person again. Our hearts are about to drop like the rain. Our faith will go on with you on our mind but a sweetheart like you is difficult to find. Thank you for all that you have said and done, we will follow in your footsteps and learn close behind. Your cat keyboard, your cooking techniques all will be missed right down to your grits. Your cranberry sauce, your apples and sweets. The chair that your sat on, the flag you put out. The tone in your voice telling children "watch out". The beds you made, the coffee too, the purse that you looked for the look on your face when you forgot what you were going to do.

There is so much more that I will remember about you. Most of all you loved my boys when they were around like they were your own and you hugged us so big when we were to return home. You drove up to see us and went out to sushi, you talked to us wholesome when were weren't to witty. You took great pictures and meant every word you said. You were a beautiful person and you will be missed incredibly, you made many grey hearts red.

Please see Gma Smith's pictures in my picasa album. You WILL KNOW which ones are her.
